Readers of the Valley Advocate have once again chosen Herrell's® for the Best Ice Cream award in the Best of the Valley 2018 competition.
“...And the folks at Herrell's® are always thinking of the next big flavor. ‘We’ve got a new flavor called M & C Holyoke,’ which is a twist on cookies and cream. ‘It’s not the old-fashioned recipe … we’ve put in ginger snaps.’ Sounds like the perfect addition to the roster of 375 flavors on the menu.”
Herrell's® announces a new flavor addition which has some folks very excited and others putting on a sour face! Yes, sour Pickles & Cream.
“I’ve been working on versions of the flavor for quite a bit of time now,” says Judy Herrell, owner of Herrell's®, “but finally got it where I like it!”
Now available online: a real-time listing of the flavors available at our Northampton store! Check ahead to see if it's time to stop in for your favorite flavor. Or if you're in line at the store and can't see the menu from where you're standing, just visit herrells.com/flavors on your smartphone!
The renovation of our original store at 8 Old South Street is nearly complete. We are still awaiting the arrival of a few pieces of equipment, but we're open for business and offering a full array of flavors of ice cream, sorbet, and frozen yogurt—plus an expanded selection of No-Moo® flavors and baked goods.
As the new equipment and furnishings continue to arrive, we'll be adding even more goodies to the menu.
Thank you for your patience, please pardon our dust, and be sure to stop in for a treat!
Herrell's® will be renovating our retail location, beginning September 18, 2016. Since ice cream is fun and important to our customers, we are opening a pop-up location to provide uninterrupted service. The pop-up store will be located inside Thornes Marketplace across from Captain Candy, near Acme Surplus and Cornucopia.

When it comes into contact with ice cream, this classic of the form thickens, becoming almost chewy, adding textural contrast, just as a hot fudge should.
